2021 UPDATE

You might have noticed that it’s been a little quiet around here, lately. From dreaming about our next project, to making countless phone calls and sending emails, to filing mandatory Federal and State paperwork, much of what we do here at West Coast Rescue happens behind the scenes. But that doesn’t make it any less important. Especially in these first few years, we want our focus to be foundational - building a sustainable organization that can operate with excellence and open books.

The first months of the new year have been dedicated to bookkeeping, goal-setting and trip coordination. Our goals for 2021 include finding donors willing to partner with us on a monthly basis to help with WCR’s operational costs and to dedicate a website page to our corporate sponsors.

The last year ended with a fundraising push to take a team to Costa Rica to provide trauma training and supplies. However, due to COVID restrictions, we have had to scale back our travel for this year. But, we are still on-mission; still determined to use the resources we have to impact a community for good.
