Our mission, at West Coast Rescue, is to provide an emergency medical response to those in need during sudden-onset catastrophes, but due to the nature of this virus that has affected so many, our mission is shifting. You might think that we would respond the same medically in this situation as we would in any other. But, the truth is that a virus requires patients to receive more clinical care than emergency medicine. Despite being a relatively new non-profit, our mission is evolving as needs arise within our communities, our state, our nation and the world. The heart of our mission has always been meeting people's needs. Instead of attempting to create our own response to this pandemic, we have chosen to work for and with other agencies and non-profits, by sending out our team to assist with the current need in various roles across the nation.
As we assist on the front lines, our team is dedicated to observing and reporting back any needs of our healthcare professionals while they devote long hours to serve patients in hospitals, field hospitals and convention centers. Our goal is to meet as many of those needs as possible. Your support, at this time, will assist us in this mission. Continue to check back here and on our social media pages for updates on how you are making a difference in our collective fight against COVID-19. Stay home. Stay safe.
